Air moves through all three mesh layers instead of being trapped against you, and the outer layer sits away from your skin. The round veil holds its shape without touching your face, so you keep clear vision all the way around the hive while both hands are on a frame.

OZBEE sells two 3 layer mesh suits. The mesh is the same on both. This one differs in the parts that actually fail:
- YKK brass zips on the body and legs, not plastic. Zips are the first thing to go on a bee suit.
- Double-stitched, reinforced seams — built for repeated washing and rough handling.

How to wear it
Put the suit on over your working clothes and zip it fully. Fit the round head veil with the Velcro and zip, then adjust the chin elastic and leg seals until there are no gaps at your wrists or ankles — those are where bees get in, not through the fabric.
After use, check the cuffs, ankles and veil zip for damage. Detach the veil and hand wash it; machine wash the suit on its own with a mild detergent. Dry completely before storing. Replace the veil once the mesh is holed — a patch is not reliable protection.

Three things: YKK brass zips instead of plastic, double-stitched reinforced seams, and eleven sizes instead of eight. The mesh construction is the same on both.
Can bees sting through a 3 layer mesh suit?
The three-layer construction holds the outer mesh away from your skin, which makes a sting far less likely to reach you than with single-layer fabric. No suit is completely sting-proof — a suit pulled tight across the shoulders or knees, or one with damaged mesh, can still allow a sting through.
Is this suit suitable for beginners?
Yes. Beginners tend to work hives more slowly while learning, which provokes more defensive behaviour, so the extra standoff of three layers is worth having early.
Round head or hoodie veil — which should I choose?
Round head holds its shape clear of your face and gives the widest field of view, which suits long inspections and close frame work. Hoodie folds back between hives and packs smaller. Protection is identical.
Is the veil detachable?
Yes — which makes washing easier and lets you replace the veil on its own if the mesh is damaged.
How do I clean the suit?
Machine wash the suit alone with mild detergent. Hand wash the detachable veil. Air dry both completely before storing.
How many hives can I manage in this suit?
